ATTENTION! AFD , APD and Dispatchers And NEWS IN THE NIGHT readers
It was brought to my attention a few days ago that someone was out at police scenes saying that they were from AFP. This is not what this is about but I must start here. It was a warning that some of the officers are tired of the scanner chasers and are ready to start doing something about it.
As a rule I do not chase calls as I just do not have time. If I am on the way somewhere and I see something though I will get pictures and maybe ask some questions if I feel that I can do them without hampering the people working the scene. And this is also not what this about but it still has a little to do with it.
As many of you know I write the NEWS IN THE NIGHT which is what I hear on the scanner while I am working at night. The friendly warning about the scanner chaser made me nervous and I probably should not be. I am not out to get anyone on either of the departments or the dispatchers. I made some comments that were pointed out to me could be taken as teasing or taunting the officers to come and get me. I did not mean them like that at all. I have a very high respect for our police and fire persons. I know that they have a very hard job. I worked for a local wrecker company for 6 years and seen it first hand. My comments were made to try to ease my own stress about a possibly bad situation that is being caused by someone else.
I would like to say that if I have upset any of the officers or dispatchers with anything that I have said I would like to say that I am sorry. Also if I ever report anything on here that seems like a slam and is not right I would certainly like to hear and share your side of it. I will not be onesided like some other news agencies. My name is Brent O Woolard and I am in the book.If there is something that you would like to straighten out or explain please feel free to give me a call. I must say that I do not answer anonymous calls.
I would like all of the police and fire people to be happy to see me if they do see me and not think that I am just out to put something down just to get readers. I know that mistakes can be made by everyone and I am willing to correct mine.
If you are not with any of the emergency services please do not leave a comment.
Smells like bubble gum to me it does!
Don't kick the dog! You will get bit.

removed a comment at blog owner's request. feel free to start another thread. (i didn't click the link...) thanks.
I have been in the Fire Service for 25 years and I can say that we always will have the so called "ohh ahh" squad show up at different scenes and the larger the incident the more people that come out to watch... The really do not usually get in the way as long as they stay back at a safe distance.... Now day's everyone has a camera and most incidence are on the internet before the guy's get back to the station. We have to be VERY aware about this to protect ourselves as well as who/ what we are doing.... Incidents involving death are very protected.
With the new laws governing the protection of information, the public has more rights to get the information out then we do. We have laws written governing the information that we give to the public now... but if someone gets the information before we do its ok... Its amayzing!
I can say that as long as I have known Anderson Brent I can't see him causing issues at scenes... Don't stop getting that info on here Brent.. its an enjoyable read.
WHERE WERE YOU LAST NIGHT NO NEWS I MISSED IT ANDERSONBRENT WERE YOU OUT WITH DR SEUSS AGAIN? I HOPE YOU ARE DOING BETTER IN THE NEW PLACE.
