We, the people of the United States, in Order to form a more Perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty, to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

Hey Bard... I agree we should all be proud to be Americans, not only on July 4th, but every day.
Braveheart... Thanks for the link... I liked what McCain had to say, particularly that America is a work in progress. We have not attained the full measure of the ideal our Declaration set for us, but we have come further toward that ideal than any other nation and some day, as McCain says, we may finally get to that perfect union.
