Being Controversial, Considered a Weird Freak, or am I just NUTS.

One of the things I'm always hesitant to share with other people is the fact that I truly believe I am gifted with certain psychic abilities. No one ever wants to be considered nuts because they believe in something that others don't or are extremely skeptical of. And it's often difficult to prove to others that you (myself) actually experience things that can be considered paranormal or supernatural. So for the most part I keep things to myself. But what I find to be extremely annoying concerning being gifted is the skepticism I often receive from my own children, when they should know better. When they have witnessed repeatedly those gifts that I have. When even several of them are gifted to an extent.
A quick rundown of what I have picked up from my children about their abilities:
26: Can see manifestation of spirit images on reflective surfaces. (cleaning the surfaces does not make them go away.)
18: Has what we used to call 'auditory hallucinations'. We don't call it that now, it's auditory perception. (no little voices in her head do not tell her what to do). More recently she has been experiencing premonition type dreams that she has yet to get control over.
16: Can see spirit, interact with spirit and has begun to develop auditory sensory perceptions regarding the spirits she sees. She has also had the ability to see Aura's around people since she was a small girl.
11: Most recently has discovered that, like me, she can feel the touch of spirit, but she cannot see them or hear them.
itty bitty: communes often with the spirits that are hanging around people she knows and shares a relationship with. She even talks to them. This child would be the one most likely to have 'imaginary friends' because she is young enough that she has not been influenced to be close minded when seeing what the rest of society does not acknowledge being able to see, or has closed their minds to.
I encourage my children to be open about what they experience. I don't tell them it's just their imagination. Provided what I have experienced with my own gifts, I wouldn't ever want to stifle their growth with extra sensory perception. I don't believe anyone should. But there are times when I am still skeptical, and feel that I must not assign everything to being gifted. I must be aware that there are real mental illnesses out there and guard the mental health of myself and my children closely.
As for myself, my gifts include communicating with those that have crossed over when I feel like acknowledging them, being empathic (feeling what others feel), and just plain knowing the truth at times when someone is trying to tell me something that either is not true, or that they are having a hard time putting into words.
I remember once, at the beginning of my 2nd marriage, my (now ex) husband accused me of being a witch. This caused my face to screw up in a look of extreme confusion. LOL.... When I asked him to clarify that, which was not an easy task because he was quite angry with me at that point, he said that I make things happen to people he knows. I asked him how on earth I did that, and he told me that if I said something about someone...it happened. I told him that I didn't do anything to people, sometimes I just know things and if they happen they do, if they don't happen, then they don't. But of course, him calling me a witch has definitely stuck with me for the last 20 years. For the record, I'm not. I'm not Wiccan, I'm not any kind of Pagen, I consider myself Christian, I believe in God, and the history that is printed in the Bible regarding a man named Jesus. I also happen to believe that God has the power to instill these abilities in people, and we can choose to embrace and use them, or we can ignore them and let them go dormant.
Now you can call me weird, freakish, nuts or whatever, but don't be surprised if I ever tell you something there is no way in the world I could ever know, and there is not 50-50 chance of coincidence.
This is my ramble for today, and it started because I got this weird congested feeling just before I opened the thread about Colts Fan and OWO, and was knocked for a loop, when I read that she had pneumonia. For about a minute I thought I had been ready to come down with some kind of flu. But after closing the thread and moving on, I no longer felt that congestion. I HATE being empathic, and I hate that it takes such a minimal amount of focus on a person for me to feel what they have felt. I'm done here. :)

This opens up lots of thought. Resources: "Psychic Warrior" by David Moorehouse (library of Congress non-fiction) about the CIA's Stargate Project - spying by "remote viewing." Supposedly, the CIA attempted to kill Moorehouse for writing this book.
Another good read: Past issues of "Psychology Today" - lots of articles on the Supercollective Consciousness -
That addresses government acknowledgment and use of the "spiritual" for the down and dirty of espionage and the field of psychiatric reasoning attempting to explain psychic awareness.
United States History - Read about the "Ghost Dance" practiced by the natives of the Oglala Sioux, the Northern Cheyenne, the Blackfeet, and the Crow - by executive order of Ulysses S. Grant, this activity was banned and was one of the MAJOR issues that led to the showdown between these nations and the Federal Government at the Little BigHorn Battlefield.
Another historic parallel closer to home: The battlefield at Tippecanoe near Lafayette - Tecumseh's brother, "The Prophet," had many visions and was warned and instructed in these visions as to how to manage the coming battle with Harrison. The Prophet acted very similar to Moses in that battle-standing with his staff extended over the fighting. However, unlike Moses, he lost hope, became fearful and did not have assistance like Moses did and was forced to drop his staff - from that point on, an otherwise winning effort on the battlefield turned against him and the Shawnee
On to Hebraic belief: The book of Ezekial - heavy reading but interesting from the perspective of images and visions. Pre-WWII psychologists attempted to explain Ezekial as a schizophrenic - determined this because at times in this book, Ezekial seems to be in two places at once - while in Exile in Babylon and in the Temple in Jerusalem- (remote viewing?) -
Ezekial is NOT studied much, but the United States State Dept. has some awareness of a concept called the "Ezekial Option" where the current unfolding middle east conflict is concerned...see chapters 38 and 39 specifically - you have to know who the lineage is from these ancient civilizations to know where they migrated to and are located today to catch what the State Department is so interested in.
Finally, you need to be very careful who you speak with regarding gifts such as these. Some find that the more they discuss their gifts, the more diluted they become...others become exhausted by the demands others place upon them as a result of these gifts -
Pondering discernment is required to ensure proper use and avoidance of self-destruction.
Spiritual and Psychic gifts can take a physical toll on the gifted one. I know of a person who has visions, who once they pass, reports a heaviness in his chest (especially), head, and extremities as though he had just run for miles...he said it is like his "being" is pulled from his body, then slammed back in when it is over.
Be careful with this. Protect your kids from outsiders, skeptics, and users. Circle the wagons until you are sure where and how these gifts are to be used. Free uninvited advice -
It surprises me to this day that my kids are still not used to me being able to tell them things they think I shouldn't know.
It happened again last night and it was such a little thing. One daughter got a text message from another daughter, before she even clicked it, I told her what it said. She looked at me in shock. "Mama!! How did you know what she said?" Uhm...kid..I've been telling you this stuff for years. LOL
Not to rain on your parade, CC, but that was weeks ago that Colts Fan had pneumonia.
