You're Not Helping
Are you seriously kidding me? I am flippin’ pissed. Several days ago I spoke about my struggle with how to deal with my father on the subject of my diagnosis. I got a call that started with the following phrase, “I don’t think you should apologize to your dad”. I knew immediately I was not going to like how the rest of this conversation was going to go. I posted on the subject so I could avoid actually having a verbal discussion about the issue. Avoidance is my friend. I’m somehow known that short of a catrosphic event this wasn’t going away. “The carrier of the information” has called my step-mother and told her. Now she didn’t directly tell my father, but indirectly told him through his wife. Like everyone didn’t know that the minute the phone went dead my father was told. Not that I think I should be consulted every time someone feels the overwhelming need to talk to someone else, but this was the once person that I feel should have been dealt with on my terms.
This is my boob rot. I will deal with it how I see fit. I don’t want “support” for every appointment. I don’t need people to go with me every time. I want to go alone. I want to deal with this first before I announce it all to the public. You have no idea how frustrating it is to have people breathing down your neck constantly? Do not make plans for me. Do not take it upon you self to “help “me. It’s not helping.

I just want you to know that when or if you should want someone at any appointment, does not matter when or where, I will be there! We both know that you are an extremely strong person, and usually very indepent, but some of the time you just need to know that you do have friends that will help you in what ever ways needed! (but please remember I don't handle blood very well, so sometimes my help will be limited in that area, picking me up after I pass out on ya would not help you at all!)

Hey there I am not going to get on that train. Just know if you decide you want someone other than J4F you can always call me. We sisters have to stick together. If you are not aware there is a sisterhood amoung us. Hugs.

I will go with you if there is blood...those wussies are just that...wussies. Nothing bothers me.....I even went in with my mother in law when they did her colonoscopy...it was neat seeing inside of a body and watching them snip off those little polyp thingys......I watch all the forensics shows I can......I love the gorey things I guess....

Some people are just better as friends, not nurses, if you know what I mean. I had to learn to "suck it up" a few years back for my son, if had not been for my hubby, I don't know what we would have done. Hubby is great with the blood and stuff like that!

Don't like the blood and guts type thing but if I need to I can do it and you can to for a friend. lol
I've not really had much to say on this topic. Maybe because with these kinds of things, I'm a lot like you. I want everyone to listen when I'm ready to talk about it, but I don't necessarily need any feedback. Just let me rant when I need to. I'm going to let you rant when you need to, and let you know, I'm watching what you have to say. :)
