Physical scars

So last Tuesday I had my second surgery. I have addressed the mental difficulties openingly but have never showed you the physical aspects of recovery. Today I will post two pictures. I have kept them clean, sorry but I didn’t want to emotionally scar anyone. You can visibly see the scar on from the first surgery. The second is still under those little butterfly stitches. However that is the bruising moving to the surface. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture that would show the swelling. The bruising will continue to come to the surface over the next week. I will see the surgeon and the oncologist Tuesday for post op and to decide where I want to go from here.

Either he thinks he's freakin' God or he thinks I am. Either way, I'm about to get a cheap, perverse thrill out of crushing his entire belief system.

Wow, did they use a crow bar or does it just seem like it? I am praying for you and that good decisions will be made by all for a good outcome.

DID YOUR AUNT CALL YOU BACK YES OR NO WILL BE GOOD
Any thoughts about a referral to another Dr? My husband's Dr had him sent to IU Med Center. I love the DR that did the surgery. He was on of the 2 top guys at Johns Hopkins and came here. He is head of surgery dept. A teaching hospital is always a good place to be-not to mention all the cute young docs. Don't worry about offending current ones- it is YOUR body.

No and since the family reunion moved here so I wouldn't miss them all, I'll call her after church in the morning.

IT THE KIDS DAD SIDE I SAID THAT BECOUSE ME NOT BEING THERE AND BEING FAMILY. I'M GLAD THEY CAME TO SEE YOU
Both my surgeon and the oncologist are out of IU. I really like them. The oncologist has no personality but he is very up front. My surgeon is a woman. She is very comforting and understands my concerns with my physical scars. I am going to see a DNA counslor to see if I am carrying the gene. If I am I will have a double mastectomy now. The good part is the reconstruction is covered by my insurance and my surgeon says they are using the extra stomach fat and skin to do it now. I'm gonna get me a tummy tuck and new boobies back up where they belong!

I was glad too. I sorta felt a little left out today. But it's nice to see they care! they made Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn on the cob, peas, sliced tomatoes and cottage cheese....and they cleaned the kitchen up afterward!
