Special Thanks to all the Airport Employees and Volunteers

Did you upload pics from there, or make two trips... because I saw you leaving as we were coming in...

I made two trips - to the crime watch and the balloon fest - to try to get both events at different times. The lighting and everything was spectacular in the evening at the Airport. I may have made a connection with an aerial photographer from the control tower.
Were you coming in at the end? I thought about AFP as I passed the firetruck. Heh.
"Becky" was parked up toward the entrance of the event.

I see you again managed to get a few "butt shots" of the lovely ladies! I'm startin' to like you more & more!
I have spoken!
"Steve" would be Steve Darlington, airport manager, and "Larry" would be Larry Reynolds, Anderson Airport Support Group (AASG) member, perhaps?

I'm terrible with names. Thank you, sir.

It was an enjoyable festival. I was only there a few hours in the morning, and a few in the evening, but there was quite a bit of interesting things to see. the $8,000 helicopter being one of them.
Sorry I didn't see you other than driving by!

Nice job, kpaul!

The red white and blue one? I saw three or four, I think...

Just wanted to give a public 'tip of the hat' to Anderson Airport employees and all the volunteers who made the first annual White River Balloon Fest a success (imho.)
The weather didn't want to cooperate at first, but Saturday evening, the balloons were 'cold filled' then heated up and into the air they went.
Before they did, I attempted to get into one of the towers to take shots. (I'm actually kind of glad the timing didn't work out because I got better up close shots when the balloons launched, I think...) Steve, in charge, allowed me to climb the control tower, where Larry (also a photographer it seems), let me crawl onto the ledge. Heh. I literally mean crawl, too. And yes, your intrepid publisher is still afraid of heights.
Anyway, seriously, thanks to everyone who put in long hours for this event.
Anderson's on the rise. Smile.
Here are some of my fave-fave pics from the day.
Just back from the field,
