Can be found here (for now): http://www.andersonfreepress.net/maps/911-emergencies Now, lots of thoughts... I changed 'crime' to 'emergency run' - is that the best generic term? Should it just be the 911 map? How should we categorize the 'events' or calls (runs?)? Type of call - violent versus non-violent, fire only, police only, etc... What other features?

Also, how should we verify the information? What are the qualifications for granting someone access to posting to 'the map'?
I've kept it so just I can post at the moment.
What other information should we tag - units called...
I would tag as police, fire, and ems. To make it easier I would only put the department instead of units.

I'd say just the folks we know of who are emergency related should post events on the map. Otherwise, my opinion is, it will get cluttered with unintentional duplicates or rumored things or elsewise get too cluttered.
