Dangit!  The hotel with the vibrating nightstands is all booked up!  What ever will I do now???

P.S. - I forgot to mention in my earlier post, that the thing at Mounds Park is a cookout sort of thing where everybody brings something.  Since I'm staying in a hotel, ie. not able to cook, I'll bring drinks and ice.

I was going to reserve the shelter today. It's only 30.00 but I am waiting until I know what the weather is going to be like that day.

I know it's suppose to be 70 degrees but not sure about rain showers yet.

I will know within the next few days. As far as time, we usually get out there about 1 or 2. We can go earlier if y'all want to. The park doesn't close until 11 pm. 

It's a pitch in type thing. Just bring enough for yourself and your family if you wish.

I usually just bring some sloppy joes in a crock pot or hot dogs.
I don't try to worry about feeding EVERYONE...lol

There are usually chips and drinks. We rarely have any desserts so that would be nice.
I usually bring plates, forks, spoons, cups. We will need ice and charcoal, trash bags (because you have to bag your own trash and take it with you when you leave), aluminum foil, things like that.

My family likes to stay till dusk or a little after dark. The park is open til 11 pm and we bring a blanket, flashlights, lanterns and lay on the blanket after dark to watch the stars.

It's the most peaceful and zen experience!!

Those of you who want to stay late with us, bring your flashlights, and telescopes.
The kids like to play hide and seek at dusk with the flashlights.

That sounds like a good time, Wickey.  Much more my speed than BW3's.  Hell, I'm old!

I am going to email cornholio to see if they are comming. Zimmy already said she can't come. I'm bummed about that!! 

That is a bummer!  I'd love to meet Zimmy!  If Cornholio comes, he simply has to make his famous burgers.

It would be nice if everyone would pitch in a coupla bucks to rent the pavilion.  this trip's going to end up costing me over $600 just for gas and a hotel, but I don't mind sharing the cost since it's for all of us.

That's the same day as the letter carrier food drive so I may try to stop in after I help out with that. Dont forget to leave your bag of non perishables you want to donate by your mailbox

I think I will be there.. not sure yet though.    Just kiddin'!
