The Official Ask kpaul thread

I'm not really all that good at describing myself. I do a little of both. And do it well enough that on occasion I even make a few extra dollars at it.  Like you, most of what I know I started teaching myself. I've spent most of the last 10 years at home, with plenty of time to research anything I want.  I have a little programming training, enough that I understand coding anyway.  C++, and I had started teaching myself some C# about 5 years ago, but had to get away from it because of my youngest child.  While I was still married, my ex dealt with all the hardware issues in our computers and helping other people with their computers. I watched him and learned, to the point where no one cracks my case except me. In the last year I've built 3 low end PC's for myself and my children, and all are still running fine. ;)  I'll take a look at this Drupal you keep talking about.  As a matter of fact, I'm bored, I might take a look throughout the rest of the evening. :)

Okay so I'm looking at this Drupal, and it looks to me like it needs to be installed on a unix based web server.  Is that right?  I was going to check it out using IIS on my own computer.  We'll see how it installs.  I don't have this computer OS set up for a webserver, it's all on my XP partition. Thanks for giving me something to do and focus on. I'll not be so bored now. LOL

I think it can be set-up on IIS too, although I'm not sure about that. Let me know how it goes.

Sippy, I really have to agree.  Get a new collection of pics. That particular one seems to come out of nowhere and gags me. LOL

heh. no offense and nothing personal, but i dont' want to see it ending up in all the threads. ;)

besides, it's better if you have a link and say click here and people don't know they're gonna see it... although that's kinda mean too. ;)

Okay this thing is giving me a cotton picking headache.  How many times do you have to enter the database info into that Install.php?
