The areas with the most economic troubles tend to have the lowest scores and graduation rates. The black males seem to have a lot of trouble graduating.
Don't know the pool thing yet, still waiting for the answers to a couple of questions as a matter of fact.
Who is 'they'. I think of all the children in Anderson as being one. Yes we might have one group that has trouble, but where I have taught we didn't have a lot of black males and we still had children with trouble. In fact, last year and this year my one black male student is at the top. I think that we need to focus on the students and parents who are actually trying to learn something. It is not like the others have not heard this over and over. I have talked about it every yeqar at Back to School night. Oh wait, the ones that really need to know are not at Back to School Night. So, coming back tot he original question. I would bet that in Noblesville you have parents that go to Back to School Night.
No Bull and LRA..... What would you do to change things. Make them better? I would be interested in your ideas. Both of you seem to be educated people. Lets move away from riding T. Jones and the school board. I agree with some of both your statements but that is not the point. Give us some ideas! You could have something that may get the ball rolling for better days but we will never know if all you do is harp on Tobi and Teddy.
I doubt very much if how the school board or acs is acting effects whether a parent shows up or not for the special night at their school. What would make them show up for a school board meeting (that has very small attendance) if they thought the school they attended was going to close. It does seem to get people out to those meetings.
As you seem to keep harping on the Bohnenkamp issue, I asked my family if they even knew who she was.....guess what they did know she was the past president but nothing about any of the things you keep going on and on about. So out of the ten or so people I asked about attending back to school night the answer is NO it didn't effect whether they attend . They go for their children and to meet the teachers.

If the schools were still in the neighborhood this could have been alot easier. These children can no longer walk to their respective schools.
That is what I was referring to.
I hope that you have a great day today and I that your tomorrow is even better than you can imagine..
That sounds derogatory. I do not mean that not having the schools in the neighborhood is a bad thing

I am thinking that the black communiuty already have space available to help their youth
If you listion to the weekly talk show it seems positive Maybe they should be the one to get this initiative going for their own children
I hope that you have a great day today and I that your tomorrow is even better than you can imagine..

I am not pointing fingers or anything else. You seem to take offense at alot of stuff. I mentioned things that would help the communtity as a whole.
If you have another area that you think would benefit from having an after hours spot to study. Why not post about that.
I hope that you have a great day today and I that your tomorrow is even better than you can imagine..
