We are sending our child to another school district next year.....for obvious and not so obvious reasons.....
My children will stay in ACSC next year, for obvious and not so obvious reasons.
PresidentJust a parent who happens to be a member of ACSC Board of Trustees. At all times I speak only for myself as an individual. I cannot, nor will I attempt to, speak for any other member of the board or administration. No member of the ACSC Board of Trustees has any authority as an individual, the authority rests in the Board as a whole only. Sometimes I forget myself and speak as a parent only, a parent who loves and protects and is very bias toward my children.When a kid starts his freshman year it's basically a coin flip (53%) chance that he graduates. I call that a failure rate!
Tobi: You should be concerned that people, not just me are sending their children elsewhere. After all you are an elected official and I do believe you are in my district.
I am very concerned.....unfortunately there are 4 other board members who need to get concerned.

We voted one of them out of office and they were put right back into an open seat. So does voting them out mean anything if they can be appointed right back onto the board?
Some kids do very well in ACS. Why is it that some don't? Bad parents/teahcers.
Emails wont change anything...Im not going to publically call out board members...but please remember that very often things are not as they seem to be in public meetings.
And finally. The board member who was voted off and replaced to her position cares more about the students in ACSC than the rest of them put together. That is the honest to God truth. She will stay up more nights and stress herself out more and devote more time and energy to the board than anyone else..myself included. Our kids need her on the board...unfortunately behind the senes situations are going to run the good board members off...
