This is Obama's pick for a justice on the U.S. Supreme Court and here I thought their personal biases were to be ignored when enforcing the laws of the land according to the U.S. Constitution prior Supreme Court rulings. Okay, those of you that choose to can start calling me a racist and a chauvinist now since I don't like his pick who happens to be (gasp) a woman of Hispanic ethnicity.

The same thought occurred to me yesterday when I heard the POTUS say that he hoped she would bring some "empathy" to the USSC ranks. . . I also disagree with this stated "purpose" since it does indeed appear to be a 180 from traditional practices and expectations of the Wise Ones. . .
She still has to run the gauntlet though and if her record / history can withstand the light of day then I suppose she deserves a shot at it. . .

It sounds like a slam-dunk to me, given the flavor of the Congress. She does have diabetes, and that might be a mitigating factor in her tenure.
