Well it is nice to know exactly where you stand Toby. If it does pass do we have another choice but to accept it? For now anyway.
The reality is no, not much of a choice now. And they are banking on it too. Once the sticker shock goes away and the next election comes around they are banking on us forgetting about it and voting the party line, as usual. And the saddest part of it is that they aren't wrong either.
Three million here, and three million there; and we all roll over and fund their ineptness each and every time we vote. . . Pretty friggin sad, but the reality of it is until enough of us are forced out of our homes and the revenue stream dwindles down to near nothing, they're going to keep coming to the well, and they will try to shove us down it once it has gone dry.
Sheeple! We are all nothing but a herd of sheeple!
I am not in favor of many of the choices we have had to make in the schools lately (and that we will have to make in the future,) but I understand that the choices we made are the best of all the rotten choices available.
Palehorse: We WOULD have a choice if our so-called representatives in government didn't have the foresight to enact a law that prohibits recall elections in the state of Indiana.
Isn't it interesting that those who are supposed to represent us chose to create a law that would preclude us from removing them?
This supports your theory that our memories are short and that we'll simply vote the party line once again. Reinstatement of recall rights is what will eliminate the need to vote for the lessor of the MANY "rotten" choices.
Believe me, there are GOOD choices out there, but our politicians refuse to offer us anything that precludes their own power-positions and money grabs.
It will pass by one vote. Each member knows how they are voting now. It will be painted as a "tough decision" and it will never go away. My advice, move to Pendleton. Manifold charges $59 a quarter and is worth every penny.
Don't be so sure suplisider. It isn't over yet. I hear 2 other ones are on shaky ground and have not made up their mind until they see the turn out tonight.

Agreed. For the record though I have not seen a "good" choice in any election I have been legally able to participate in for over 30 years!
Our elected officials on almost every level of government you want to mention, continue to feed at the trough of money we keep filling for them; funding private enterprise, special interests, and even personal interests at our expense. And we keep filling up the trough as fast as they can empty it, and without the ability to say no, from what I can see.
The laws are another arena of enslavement too. Now if your dog bites someone you can be convicted of a felony and be precluded from employment at places like Nestles. All that has to happen is for your dog to be the "right breed" and the media will trump up enough conjecture to ensure you are convicted. Then you'll be stuck in a dead end job with zero possibility for anything better in your life. (IF you can find one that is).
We legislate today what used to be the arena of civil law, and then wonder why our prisons are full; of the wrong people in an ever increasing number of cases. We send our political criminals to club fed, (when they finally do enough to actually tee off the "right people"), and then re-elect them once they are out. What is that saying?
When is enough going to be enough to make folks realize that we are being led about by a ring the government has installed in our noses? Will we ever? I have my doubts. . .
Palehorse, YOU are correct!!

Believe me, I hope they read this and prove me wrong! Same story with the COIT. That's the next BS we will deal with.
NO NEW TAXES!
Yes COIT then they will be talking about a LOIT!
