It will pass by one vote. Each member knows how they are voting now. It will be painted as a "tough decision" and it will never go away. My advice, move to Pendleton. Manifold charges $59 a quarter and is worth every penny.
Uh, I believe I called this. Sorry. Tough luck. Best bet to avoid the inevitable COIT increase, lose your job. THIS is how you restore a local economy. Confiscate more $ from the people and give them failing schools.
Sure would be interesting to find out would it not be. Lil Kev got by with it so I guess they all can.
I don't know what the policy is but I believe John Gunter went back to APD after he was Sheriff for eight years. The policy has obviously been around for a while so Kevin Smith wasn't given any special treatment. I don't see anything wrong with someone taking a LOA to step up and serve their community in another capacity and then returning to a their job. They don't have to be retrained so it is a plus for the police department and the community.
I like your view, teb. It might help bring a new perspective to the department from which the mayor came.....like the need to actually re-negotiate a contract so that people can keep their jobs. I meant that as a general comment and not specifically aimed at Anderson's employees.

In April voted for sewer rate increase of 40 % and now the trash fee. I was at the sewer rate hearing. Also voted on an ordinance to charge for services not provided. Who knows where the money goes. Council showed they don't care about the public at the April hearing.
Maybe the city PR person should address this on AFP. Or maybe the deputy mayor?

Well, the trash fee tax passed. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for Ockomoron and his band of cronies.

Are there any cuts that can be made in the Mayor's office? Any positions that can be multi tasked ....just asking...
I don't know how many more things I can afford to pay. When is the contract over for the current Trash company?

How about this for a new tag line to promote Anderson:

Hmmmm.....do you think there's any truth to the rumor that Sarah Palin quit Alaska because she wanted to run for Mayor in Anderson, Indiana?

Anderson is going down.

How many of these guys just keep getting voted in again and again......like Muir, Pepelea, Newman, etc?
