What's the story, AFP? |
A former office manager at the Richmond Street Department stands accused of using more than $2,000 in taxpayers' money ''to buy personal items'' with her city-issued credit card.
How many of those ''personal items'' does a Female need to have under the bathroom sink..
It is not length of life, but depth of life.

How he loses shows all of it..
maybe she was buying a bunch of that expensive shampoo and conditioner...LOL
(ya know I am just kidding with ya)
What?? You can't understand what I am saying? I am speaking plain penguin!!
Are you trying to say she might be one of those priced ladies?
After so many of our cops, councilmen, commissioners and various other city/county employees have got into trouble, you'd think that putting 'Anderson' or 'Madison County' employee or elected official on one's resume might be the kiss of death!
Maybe they should fib a little and state that they were employed in the private sector and were terminated for embezzlement or arson something minor like that.

Wouldn't it depend if they were actually prosecuted or not? If you are never prosecuted for theft/embezzlement, then by all means list them on your resume :)
I may have missed something, but I read the article to say that she was employed IN the Anderson Indiana, not BY the City of Anderson...
PresidentJust a parent who happens to be a member of ACSC Board of Trustees. At all times I speak only for myself as an individual. I cannot, nor will I attempt to, speak for any other member of the board or administration. No member of the ACSC Board of Trustees has any authority as an individual, the authority rests in the Board as a whole only. Sometimes I forget myself and speak as a parent only, a parent who loves and protects and is very bias toward my children.Oh, you mean after the same special prosecutor is called in to determine if a grand jury should be empaneled to review the facts of the case to determine if charges should be filed even though there is videotape of the 'suspect' having a loaded .45 fall out of his prison jumpsuit?

I think we have veered off point here again
Why do they call it "Common Sense" when so damn few people have it?
Sorry about the break in the message - computer problems. The reason I say we veered off is that someone is under the impression that Ms. Smitson was prosecuted for some violation against the city of Anderson. THEN the conversation went to THOSE DA** crooked politicians (those are MY words here - no one actually used that phrase). A quick google search will turn up the fact that she was IN FACT working for a private sector company and was prosecuted.

Thanks for the clarifcation, JLSO. Since she was actually prosecuted for criminal actions, convicted and now on probation, it should have been obvious that she was NOT employed by the City of Anderson or Madison County when those crimes were committed.
