OIT or COIT? New Taxes are a comin!

What is your alternative?  Which services are you willing to do without or which ones would you like to see at a diminished capacity?

25 worker = $1mill. hmmmmm Muncie is larger city has 200 less employees.... 200/25 = 8 or in otherwords $8million... FIGURE IT OUT AND DO THE CUTS YOU NEED! THEY HAVE A POLICE DEPT OF 98 WE HAVE ONE OF 117 AND WE HAVE A SMALLER POPULATION!!!

I felt this reply in the paper was excellent.

I think I read one time... and I could be wrong, that the area served is larger in Anderson than in Muncie and requires more officers to patrol it. 

Ok.  That's 20 people or roughly 10% of the number required.  What else?

Well I am sure they have less firemen.  Why don't we ask them and find out where they have less people.  Why can they run a larger city on 200 less employees?

Ok.  If we lay off 20 police officers and the entire fire department, that gets us where we need to be.

You really don't have a plan do you?  If your intention is to rebuild Anderson, I would think that you would already have a plan.

What is your vision for Anderson and to what state do you want to return Anderson to? 

Are you saying that the police and fire is the only place to lay off?  We don't have other departments?

What I am saying is that I don't think people understand the depth of the problem.

I am wondering if the citizens of Anderson are willing to do without many of the services that they now have.

Fewer people = diminished services.

What would the reaction be if all city parks closed?  How about when snow is plowed from the streets Monday-Friday 8 to 4?

Your saying doing without....  You don't have to do without just do with less.  Are they willing to have less money to pay the crazy tax increases and new taxes that this administration is continually coming up with??

Name the services that we could do with less and save 8.2 million.

In the case of such a budget deficit ALL could do with less.
