You've got me. I have no idea where a parking garage is in Anderson.  I no longer live there (when I retired from the Navy my hands no longer fit a snow shovel and I retired on the Gulf Coast). Both of my parents are in Memorial Gardens so I don't get up to Anderson very much.  Looking on Google Satellite the last house that I was raised in, is now on the banks of a gravel pit surrounded by McMansions, north of town on Prosperity Rd (500N)!

The last fire I remember in downtown was the old Murnan's (I think) Bowling Alley fire on main street.  That pretty much ate up half a block.  The only place around there I can remember serving malts and fries was the old Hills Snappy Service (behind J.C. Pennys on 10th?), which we have commiserated much about soon after this thread began.
