The analogy isn't exact. But the war in Afghanistan is starting to look disturbingly familiar.

The most uncomfortable question is whether any strategy will work at this point.

Speaking of Vietnam . . . why hasn't the war in Iraq and/or the war in Afghanistan produced the number a great songs that Vietnam did?  Are the war protester's that damn lazy?  Just wondering . . .
