There has been two women shot. One is 7 months pregnant. Suspects name was given to officer at hospital. Suspect fled on foot jumping a fence and throwing the possible AK-47 down. An alert officer found the weapon...good job guys. Man called in and said suspect just came limping through his yard off Raible. Perimeter set up and they have K-9 dog on track. I have no doubt they will get him!! Thoughts are with the two women..all of this is in the vicinity of Jackson Park
Update: preg woman being life-lined for precaution. she was shot in the back and has a wound under her eye.
In a seperate case a woman called in and said she was attacked by a man in her car and needs an ambulance. A crowd has gathered around the car...sounds as if she did fight back..this is in the vicinity of Ebbert Education center

Published May 23, 2009 09:21 pm - Police report that two girls, 16 and 17, were shot, probably by an AK47, at Westvale Manor Apartments in the 2200 block of Fulton Avenue on Saturday.

There is also a 3rd vic from the shooting at Community Hospital.
I hope and pray that all of the victims, including the unborn child, will be safe and healthy. But I have to ask, that new law passed (I think) about shooting a pregnant woman, but when did it go into affect?
