Son in law passed the accident before any assistance arrived. Said a dualy was involved. When I left to go get kids from church, help (flashing lights on fire truck etc) was still there. When I got back about 20 minutes later, everything was cleaned up and traffic was flowing again. I'm glad it wasn't more serious for many reasons, and knowing I don't have to take the long way around to get off this road and go to work.
I would say I'm more than a few feet from that intersection. Something like 6 houses down or so. :)
As far as fire/ems goes, you are in one the the safest areas in Madison County. You have the expertise and professionalism of Union Twp, Adams Twp, Pendleton, and Anderson. They have the best resources, personel and leadership available!
Hmm. Just had an idea. First off, though, I agree with Bard!
I was thinking, I could set-up a special 'group' here for verified Emergency Management personnel so graciously helping get out the information here at AFP. Could be a graphic/badge of some kind that we come up with that's displayed on their bio page and by their avatar?
Also note that you can now subscribe to this thread via RSS. (Don't know what RSS is? Just ask. Very useful.
I'm trying to get this on Thunderbird, it isn't working. Am I doing something wrong? Just copying the link location from the logo on the bottom of the page and trying to paste it in as a subscription.
Paying you to do a story via virtual points unethical? Not sure it's come up yet. Heh.
When doing a story I like to be as transparent as possible. That is, I might explain in ed.notes on the piece that I took time to do the profiles because you guys have done such a great job here helping out.
As for the RSS, they just released a fix for it today (maybe yesterday) and I haven't updated the code yet. The ones on the bottom of comment pages (the actual threads) should be working, but the others aren't. I'm working on it, but thanks for mentioning it.
And thanks for everything you guys (and gals) do here on AFP and out there in 'real life'...

TheDawg,
Thanks for the compliment! I agree 100% with you about the surrounding agencies, too.
I may be coming down there to do a profile on some of you guys if you're up to it... maybe next month? Let me know if there's interest.
Do we get secret kpaul points?
Wait, I think I remember in one of my media classes from college, isn't that teetering on the edge of unethical?
