This is pretty nifty.   Just enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code area.

Speaking of gas prices, I saw something that struck as so funny on Sunday.  I was driving down the interstate and passed a huge winnebago, pulling a Prius.  Talk about an oxymoron!

Hi, my name is Katie, but I go by k-dat. Anyway, I was just wanting to gripe about gas prices to, it is gotten out of hand!!! Its like you almost have to pay to go to work if you work anymore than a few miles from home because it seems like its almost not worth it! I think I could almost take a job in a fast food place and make less per hour than I do in my job just because Id be saving so much money not having to drive back and forth all the time!

Im Katie, also known as K-dat.

Yes it has...$3.95?! I thought it was a joke when I heard $4/gal prices by summer, but I'm sorry to know it is true.

You know, I was watching the news this morning and they're talking about the increase in drive offs at the pump. While I know that's not the answer, and that it isn't the gas stations' fault, I can completely understand the reasoning behind driving off. It's getting ridiculous!! I would be a liar if I said I hadn't thought about driving off, but that's just the rebel in my head, not something I'd actually do. Besides, a $10k fine is pretty intimidating...

I keep hearing talk about public transit and trains and crap, but you know, it doesn't help enough. They want to put a commuter train from Noblesville to Union Station. Great. Dandy. But what about people who come from anywhere other than Noblesville or Fishers? There's a track right here that goes from who knows where NE of Anderson and Daleville ... why don't they use that? Or what about the folks who travel in from Greenfield, Shelbyville, Beech Grove, Avon, Brownsburg, etc... SOMETHING needs to be done, and if the gas prices aren't coming down any time soon, there has to be some kind of alternative...

...

Not to mention it's theft and a felony.

"Taking gas without paying for it is still theft," said Metro Police Sgt. Paul Thompson. "Regardless of what the product is, it is still a felony in the state of Indiana."

Oh I know it is. A felony and a 30 day license suspension. Those things, ehh, are kind of like "whatever." It's the fine that would be the thing I wouldn't want. The other stuff just goes along with it.

I'm just being real when I say the thought has crossed my mind. I'm sure I'm not the only one. The difference is, I just wouldn't actually DO it.
