They had plenty of help from what the paper says, Pendleton, richland townhship, daleville/salem township, chesterfield, edgewood, adams towship helped out. Hats off to all of the AFD and all of the volunteers that came and assisted. You guys rock!!!
This was pretty bad. We were going door to door evac. people when the large explosions were going off. With that and the wind, it looked like a large firestorm coming right at us. It also sounded like a fighter jet taking off when the propane tanks went off. And to top it off some people just could not understand why we were making them leave/move away.
Tons of radio traffic from the fire scene of course. They are moving guys that are working on the inside of the buildings out and several other things.
Sorry I missed all of the excitement, but have they quit evacuating people? My grandparents live at 27th and East Lynn, my grandma is not at home this morning and I don't know if my grandpa would get to the door or answer the door for anyone, not since his stroke last year.
Here's a quote from Ronald Reagan: "If we ever forget that we are one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under."

I left at 7am, unless something has changed, they did quit evacuating.

I dont believe the paper said it, but there was also a snorkel truck from Fishers and one from Cicero there as well.
I was wondering why columbus was blocked off on my way home this morning.

I heard them talking about shutting down the credit union and asking people to evacuate so maybe they started it up again?
