Hey I think you posted that pic before and you said it was Mexico or or some other foriegn palce you have been to Certain parts of Anderson do look close

I leave Anderson and go to other places that are out of town mostly.....
The only somewhat considered fun could be maybe when Momma_Mayhem and myself have a Date Night..
(Which lately has been nil to none)
Then we go out for a dinner somewhere..
It is not length of life, but depth of life.

How a Man plays the game shows something of his character
How he loses shows all of it..
Every weekend all of my family on my husbands side gets together. We always have a lot of food on hand. The guys and most of the kids work (well, play) in the garage and all of us woman chit-chat, watch movies, and keep an eye on the little ones. By the end of the day everyone is so tired of playing we just want to crash!! It's a great, FREE weekend!
we get together with friends and have a bon fire weather permitting, work on our old truck and hang out with family, and have the grandkids over. how much more fun do you need than that.
I go grocery shopping.
I sit in the La-Z-Boy with the cat. Plenty of excitement for me.

There are:
I guess this Friday there is something else besides racing at 25th and MLK Jr. Blvd.
Some business (I think Perkins and White Castle) that are not bars are open late.
First United Methodist Church used to have a St. Luke's Singles until DR. KLINGER ran everyone away. This was a big ministry at the time. Shame it went away. There are new people in charge of the church and this is a good thing.
In the summer time there are performances/concerts out doors at some public and church parks.
I know there are a couple of ogranizations that meet once a month and play euchre.
When people say there is nothing to do in Anderson then the reason is because
1) they don't want to get out
or
2) they do not want to participate.
Looks like one of Bangkok's cheaper districts....

I know nothing about Anderson, my kids moved here with their Mom after the divorce. But I am planning on moving here when I retire to be close to the grandkids and because it's cheap living and the Neocons screwed my 401K and this is all I might be able to afford. Anyway -- I am a poet and have organized regular poetry readings in Okinawa and edit a web poetry magazine. So, what's a poet to do in Anderson? (Go to Indy?) Any readings? Any poetry bars or coffee houses? Anything at all?
