Has anyone out in cyber space tried the infrared heaters they are selling these days? They are supposed to save 35%-50% off your heat bill. Sounds to be sturdy and a decent buy. Just wondering if anyone has tried them. This one does not have the copper it is supposed to be better built than that? Thanks in advance.

http://www.infraredappliances.com/  are you talking about one like this, because this is the one i would like to try. during winter i can not afford to turn heat up very much  and we shut down most of house to be able to turn furnace on 60  and then use back up electric heater  to heat in one room so we have at least one warm spot. tend to get cabin fever real bad when we shut down rest of house. always thought one of these would keep our down stairs warm  cheaper. but  never tried  one.
