Sleep Number Matresses

Does anyone have any experience with one of those sleep number matresses you can adjust to suit your own firmness preference? The Missus has decided that the Age of Aquarius is over, and our beloved old waterbed has got to go. I think some sort of sad farewell ceremony is called for. Anyhoo... I Googled the topic, but advertisements were about all I could raise, and I'd like to have some solid info on the product. If you can provide any real scoop on the subject, I'd appreciate the 411. Thanx.

I have had one for about 5 years and would not trade it for anything. You will really like it. They have a showroom in I think it is carmel where you can go check it out. I will say they are not cheap.
I had to go up north for some training and the hotel that I stayed in had a sleep number bed, I could never get it set to my liking but I was only there for a few days
We use to sleep on a Nice $1500.00 Water bed fully baffled for comfort.. It was a very nice setup.. and enjoyed it for the time.. Although I still felt that during that time my sleep was not as restful as before the purchase..
What I bought after the water bed was a Serta Perfect Sleeper Elite Lauderhill Double sided Super Pillow Top King Mattress.. another $1500.00 purchase... (Mattress only) although, you do spend about 1/3 of your life in bed.. So, not as much expense when you span the price out over some time.. lol
Not a cheep purchase there either...
I would not trade this one... Very comfortable to sleep on..
Could not give you any advise on the Sleep Number Mattress.. Only that it was an additional 500.00 more in price than what I did purchase..
Looks like Colts Fan is your only source so far..
