Okay this has got to be a guy thing here. I have a 2003 Saturn L200 less than 30,000 miles.  My heater core has gone out.  I do not feel with the age of the car it should.  The garage said there is no after market part on it yet.  There is only one dealer for the whole state of Indiana.  Fishers Saturn only has 3 heater cores in stock.  The garage hinted there may be a problem on their parts.  I have tried to find if there is any recall and can't find anything.  Any ideas from you guys?

Wade Graham has a junkyard and deals a lot with those (Saturns...) I'll ask him if he has anything next time I see him.

Well I double checked with Advance Auto and there is in fact no after market for my model.  Story of my life. Went and got a second opinion even though not hard to figure out when the floor board carpet is wet.  So guess I am going to have to bite the silver bullet and spend the 385.00 to get the damn thing fixed.  Why don't they make cars where the parts last more than 5 years?????

Probably because most auto loans on new cars don't last longer than 5 years?

Check with Saturn to see if there might have been a recall on the part, you might be able to find out on line.

Review
The worst car I have ever owned. Fuel pump out at 45,000 miles. In the last month I have had to put in a new steering rack, axil boot, fan sensor, and left front axil. My wife works at a car dealership so we have routine maintenance done before it needs to be. This car has been taken care of and it is a piece of crap. I wanted to buy a Honda when I got talked into getting this one: big mistake and boy am I paying for it now. Don't buy a Saturn ever. I will never buy american again.

I leave it unlocked at night in hopes that someone will be fool enough to steal it.
