Does anyone know an easy way to play (convert) a DVD that was made for Region 1 on a Region 2 player?

Do you have a DVD drive on your computer?  If so, you should be able to go into properties and change the region and view it on the computer.  If you have TV Out, you can then hook the computer to your tv via the s-video connection and watch the dvd.

Though I believe you can only change the region 4 times on the computer DVD drive.

In my perusal of this matter, I found a couple places where it stated that even if you can get the DVD to play properly, your TV has to be adjusted also. I guess I will just have to suck it up and face the loss.

Thanks for the info CC, do you happen to know an Englishman who would like a DVD live stage performance of Jeff Waynes' War of the Worlds?

Come to think of it, I've chatted online with several Englishmen, I just never got to hear that accent. :(
