So sad.  He was so funny and, tragically, died so young.

CHICAGO - Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50.

"Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles.

I loved him in The Kings of Comedy.

The article says he had some sort of lung condition a few years ago.  Maybe he had bad lungs.  I dunno.

They said on the news last night that is was complications from pneumonia, I know that most of the time it does not kill you unless you are in a weakened state of health, like someone that is going through chemo/radiation or something like that. I know a lady that was 49, had brain cancer, she actually died of pneumonia.

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken.

You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

He had a lung condition several years ago, but the article said it wasn't related to his death.

Here's another weird bit of news.....Isaac Hayes died unexpectedly today.  Apparently, while on a treadmill.  He and Bernie Mac just finished filming a movie called Soul Men.  Is there a Soul Men curse???

That is very odd, I had seen where Isaac Haye passed away, but no idea they had just finished a movie together, maybe the pneumonia was virus, and it was something that they both had caught while filming.

I saw that too Sippy. It said the third star was Sam Jackson. I think Sam Jackson should get a complete physical! And stay out from under ladders.

Very sad also about Isaac Hayes. I loved him as Chef on South Park.

He had a great restaurant in Memphis.  They served soul food and all the tables were tiered and facing a stage where there were all kinds of performers.  I loved that place!

Freudian slip?
