Anderson and Madison County have always had a love affair with fast cars and auto racing . From Anderson Speedway(Sun Valley) to Muncie Dragway to Winchester Speedway (Funk Speedway) and all points in between speed has always been an adrenaline rush for gear heads . Here we can talk about what is currently going on in motorsports or better yet visit the good old days . "Boogity Boogity Boogity let's go racin boys "

My cousin had a bad a** 68 Firebird....wow that was a cool car and very fast. He crashed that one into the side of a train and then he had a Oldsmobile 442 that was even faster than the Bird. He used to drag race the Olds somewhere north of town.
It will be here before you know it ! The Rolex 24hrs is on Speed January 24-25 and the ARCA ReMax Series race from Daytona is February 7th . The Gatorade Duel is February 12th and the Daytona 500 is on my birthday ... February 15 th.
When does Anderson Speedway open their season ?
Anderson Speedway race #1 was Jan 1. Practice in March and some races on March 28 with opening night April 4.

Tom Miller. A former co-worker's nephew; I consider myself to be his #1 fan outside this family and crew.
He was rookie of the Year in 2003 - Started racing and Champion Auto Racing Series (CARS) "Rookie of the Year" 5th in points
2004 - Four feature wins;
2005 IURL Truck Champion. I followed him that year from Anderson Speedway, Mansfield, Ohio, Jeffersonville, South Bend, Indy Raceway Park (now ORP), Salem, Windchester, Mt. Lawn, and Baer Field. Truck was white #39.
Truck changed color to blue for 2006 season.
He won races in 2006 in the Indy United Racing League and I think finished in the top 3 in points.
In 2007 IURL had to change their name to Advance Racing Association, because Indy Motor Speedway did not like that...Tom finished 2nd in the points. Also ran at Winchester with the ShortTrackTrucks Series from Michigan.
So he raced it in 2008 and he won the ARA Truck Championship. He has placed it up for sale http://www.advanceracingassociation.com/Classifieds.html
