Sure I remember Marvin. I'm a big Bentley Warren fan. He'd usually kick butt at Anderson. Love those supermodified cars.
Great pictures ! I started going to races at Sun Valley in the mis 60's with my Grandpa and my Mom .
Do you happen to remember a driver named Ernie Layton ?
That name does not ring a bell, but I've forgotten more than I can remember. Dad campaigned cars there from 1966 through 1971. I should have more pictures, but that's all Mom managed to hang on to. I do have some from Mt. Lawn, but the cars are the same except for one, and it looks like the others.
Ernie is my Father-in-Law . He owned the cars that Sonny Shultz raced in the mid to late 60's and later drove Rat Racers ,55 Chevy , yellow ,number 4 and then a 67 Camero in the early days of ASA. Sonny's cars were #36 and #38 and were painted orange .

Yep , that's the guy . In fact he just left here . He still has the 67 Camaro in his garage in the same condition it was in when it rolled off the trailer after it's last race .

I know Ernie. Grew up in N. Anderson and retired from the phone co. Had some brothers and a sister or two. Sam & Sharon are a cpl of his siblings.
