I agree with you. I look at mine as my kids! But to clone them, I couldnt. There is to many other babies that the money would help. Wow, can you imagine.?
How much would you pay?

There are way too many animals that need good homes, fifty thousand dollars!

Too bad she didn't take that 50 grand and donate it to St. Jude or some other charity that helps kids.

I watched this on the Today show. There is more to the story than what is here. She had her arm amputated, and rebuilt, and Booger became her service dog. She said that she had braces on her arms and using her hands was difficult. Booger learned to do things for her without professional training as a service dog. I believe the idea was that she hopes these clones will have his traits and that they will also become a type of service dog. She said something about writing a book and hoping to sell movie rights. With any money that comes from that, she wants to open a place that will train service animals and her and the 5 clones will live there.
She might be a bit eccentric with her cloning for $50K, but I think if she follows through on her plans, she may help a lot of people, and animals, in the future.

CC thanks for saying the rest of the story, because what I had read left out the most important parts.

According to a news article I read, a lady decided to have her dog cloned after it was diagnosed with cancer. The lady paid $50k to a company in South Korea to clone her dog Booger, which now there are five of Boogers little offsprings, so she will keep three and donate two to work as service dogs.
I love all of my pets, hate the thought of losing any of them, but could not imagine paying that much money to have one of my dogs cloned.
