Yippy skippy....I hate daylight savings time!  I don't want to wake up in the dark in the summer and I don't like to go to bed when it's still light.

...This year we’re not just adding that hour to our lives, but 35 hours of daylight to our summer — which equals an extra day and a half....

...Plus we’ll have that extra day and a half of time to spend with our friends and family enjoying summer.

366 1/2 days again this year!!

Please change or at least check the batteries on your smoke detectors at the same time you think about turning your clock up.  Smoke detectors save lives.  Changing your clocks don't.

The best thing is having an atomic clock. They are always right and change themselves. Scanner even has it.

Isn't amazing just how many clocks we do have?

I'm trying something different this year.  Since I can "flex" my work hours somewhat, I am going to move my schedule to one hour later.  That way I will be getting up and going to bed in synch with the days and nights as they were before DST.  I came up with this after realizing that DST costs me one hour of daylight everyday.  I don't gain it, I lose it, as do any of us who work during the day.

I can make this work on 14 of 20 work days in a 4 week period due to other schedules, but it's still worth a try.

Good idea! I had no trouble getting up but hate it when it is dark-we had just got to the place where it was getting light when I got up and then it changes. Heard on scanner that girl was hit by car early at Liberty Christian. Kids in the neighborhood getting on bus in dark if it is on time (it wasn't today).
