So when you hear the name "James Bond" which actor's image immediately pops into your head? & why?

Sean Connery?

George Lazby?

Roger Moore?

Timothy Dalton?

Pierce Brosnan?

Daniel Craig?

For me Sean Connery will always be 007 in my mind, that man was simply made for that role.

Sean Connery of course.

Total,

Yea Sean Connery just seemed so natural for the role, I wish that I could pull off that sort of swagger without coming off looking like an idiot.

The whole theme of 007 seemed cooler too back then, not as much cool gadgetry as some of the later Bonds but definately a higher charisma factor with Connery I think.

I have always enjoyed Connery in his roles..

If i had a next choice it would be..  Roger Moore

I figured the Ladies on the forum would have been all over this topic

Total,

Yea I agree, Roger Moore was probably the "next best" with regards to the 007 lineage, not quite as charismatic as Connery but he did seem rather comfortable in the role.

Third Choice would be Timothy Dalton, I think my 007 Bond interest ended after his run.. Never liked the roles played by George Lazenby, Daniel Craig, & sorry but Pierce Brosnan, to me never fit in correctly...
I want to see Chris Rock play Bond..

Total,

I don't know about that, I think the Bond "brand" has been taking hit after hit at the box office because they keep getting farther and farther away from the Bond "archetype" (the one that Connery so brilliantly played), with each successor Bond in the series.

So I think someone like Chris Rock would cause the final nail to be driven into the Bond 007 franchise's coffin.

LOL Spacemonkey! I don't know about that, but I think Liam Neeson would probably make a pretty good Bond.

Maybe so but what a Comical way.

Chris could bring some fun to the 007 Box office.

Total,

LOL Sean Connery probably wouldn't look so sexy with his shirt off anymore & I am not so certain that a "Rush Hour" type action/comedy would go over well with the fans of the Bond series.

Chris Rock was great as a silly side kick to straight man lead Jackie Chan but I don't really see Chris Rock being able to pull off a believable 007, who knows though maybe he could but I personally can't picture him doing it successfully.

Tom Cruise *might* have been able to have played the 007 role had he been just a little taller & not so bat-shit crazy, it's pretty hard for me to take him seriously as an actor now, after his little "couch jumping" psychotic episode on Oprah.

I really like Nicholas Cage but I don't know if he's good looking enough to really play the 007 role, he's always struck me as a fantastic character actor but putting him in a lead spot where every woman is supposed to find him irresistably desireable is sort of asking the audience to "believe" a bit too much IMHO.
