Anyone have the web addresses for other Anderson forums?

I don't think that the AFP is for me.

I became a member here because I was sick & tired of "professional political propagandists" who posed as journalists in the other news media outlets, so I had hoped that a local, grass roots, cyber-news outlet would be a more comfortable place to get my information from but unfortunately it looks like there is no escaping them even here at AFP.

But it has become quite clear that I am not allowed to protest this despicable practice here at AFP, so I think I should probably start looking for somewhere else to share my thoughts & opinions because this place is just as tainted with the "foul stench of agenda" as the rest of them.

Richard,

You are not going to find a forum, any forum, that doesn't have what you consider to be political propoganda spewing from time to time. No news media, no dicussion group, no circle of friends will ever be propoganda free.

While you may find a group that you feel is free from it, most likely it will simply be that the groups beliefs are exactly the sameas yours. That doesn't make it less of a propoganda machine, just less irritating to you when you read it.

The person you believe to be the propogandist here on this site is one who simply posts their opinons in blog form. They rarely if ever post in the forums and therefore you don't have to read them, let alone respond to them. However, should you choose to, it is far more fun to debate them on the issues they bring to the table then to debate their person or their profession.

What I found refreshing in the past couple of days is the fact that so many people came to this posters defense even though most of them disagree in part or in whole with what they say. That is the definition of what our country stands for. We all are allowed our opinons and have the right to speak them. The world would be a boring place if we all agreed on everything.

Yea water isn't wet & Bob isn't a professional propagandist.

Gotcha.

Can someone please post or PM me some alternative Anderson forums?

No one said anything about water not being wet or posters on here not having their own agenda. I simply stated that no matter where you go, you will find people with opinions different then your own. If you don't then you are probably in a place that is going tobe rather boring.

I don't agree with all of Bob's opinions, yet I like to discuss them with him. Kent from HM and I disagreed a lot on many issues, yet he was one of my favorite people to debate with. Bard and I don't see eye to eye on everything either, and we have a lot of fun discussing our views.

I have been called the same things you call Bob, yet you and I see things far more alike so you probably don't see me as a propogandist. I personally don't know of any other Anderson, IN forums. but wish you luck in your search if that is what you are looking.

Just hang in there, Richard!  I'm in complete agreement with you - Bob uses a 'Persuasion Technique' that tries to make it look like he's being unbiased and factual, when he fact he does have a liberal agenda with ALL of his blogs.  'Propagandist' seems to offend him, so I'd go with 'Spin Doctor'!  Regardless, as K-Rock said, either ignore his blogs or have fun responded to them.  He steers clear of the rest of the forum so let him say what he wants on his little Obama Blog.

Shouldn't you be watching the Obama-lympics?

K-Rock, Irish,

LOL thanks but no thanks.

I'd just rather find a local forum that is free of professional propagandists, like I've said before I don't mind discussing politics with "people" but I wont discuss politics with "partisans" and I refuse to even be on the same site as a "professional propagandist".

Seems a little extreme, but okay.  Good luck finding a place like that!!

Well Richard you are still here. You are free to go or free to stay, but I would suggest if you decide to stay, that you maybe take the log out of your eye instead of trying to knock the stick from Bob's shoulder.

I do believe that it was pointed out where Bob was not writing partisan issues, but rather he was writing about issues that he felt strongly about. If he were truly partisan, he would never had given Bush credit for his last speech.

I do hope if you decide not to stay that you find a cyber home more to your liking. You have much to offer an online community. Just don't get caught up in what one person has to say that you may find offensive or in disagreement with. If you do, I feel like you will be bouncing from place to place without ever really finding a "home."
