Labor Ready is a work today paid today shop that contracts out small
manual labor jobs. Anything from getting paid minimum wage to pick up
trash at a business, to getting paid to work at a bottling plant
putting caps on bottles. You get a get that you can cash elsewhere or
for a couple bucks, you can put it into their cashing machine and get
your cash right then.
I did this allot when I was out of work or when I needed extra money back in the day. All you need is valid ID and you are in. You should show up early, the best jobs come to those that come in very early, like be waiting there at 4:30-5:00AM. Need transportation? There are lots of times when there are two people needed at a job site and they will put you with someone who has a ride. And occasionally they will take you to and pick you up from the job site. Good place for you if you need money fast or need something interim while between jobs, or if you just need some extra money but can't work a regular part time job.
