Is he too passive because he is unable to speak without getting angry and yelling if anyone disagrees with him and he has been told to lay low????

The Mayor walked into a mess from the beginning. He is the mayor and he needs to address these issues. He is over the city with the final say. If he has a anger problem then he needs to learn ways to express himself in a different way. You can be stern without losing your temper.

Wildcat,

Ignore Benny from here on out all he does is suck up to the Democrats and Oky.

He never says anything to support them except to bash the previous administation.

Benny why do not you address the issues and get your head out of where you have it so firmly placed.

My PM's tell me I am not the only one that believes this

I see what you're telling your friends.   When you have no valid arguments, stick your fingers in your ears and shout LALALALALALA.

Benny I think everything that I have posted is valid, I know you are responding to Rusty, Yet you still have not come up with any suggestions of your own. The city and the state needs to be listening to the public. It is very clear that the administation does not have all the answers, except to save their own hides

......I think that everthing that I have post is valid.....

This is Anderson. Most are brain dead.  So, posting vaild info would be a new concept to most.  Lets not get people upset with the facts.
If this forum topic is about finding solutions, watch out.  Problem solving by being objective and using logic does not work here.  Fixing problems means change.  And that is not allowed here.

I suppose it depends on what you mean by valid.  Is everything you said accurate? No.  A good idea?  No.  Within your rights to think and say?  Of course.

I came to this forum to counter the misinformation that was being thrown around here.  As far as my own suggestions... I am addressing them to the people that are in the positions to make changes (and that ain't here).

Benny--- I think this is the problem with ANDERSON and what everybody on this forum is trying to point out. You say you are here to counter the misinformation on this forum yet you give no constructive criticism. Most all is double talk and argumentative.  If you would give valid counter views instead of this is how it is maybe people could see the administrations side and somewhat understand why things are done the way they are. You go the way all other political' s do, keep it behind closed doors and to h#ll with the general public.

When people say the city has hired a hundred new employees,  I say that is not true.  That is the valid counter view.  When they say the city is way out of line with number of paid holidays and I point out that it is the same number as state holidays, that is a valid counter view.  When they say that the average age in anderson is over 55 and I document that this is clearly not the case, that is a valid counter view.

I said I give suggestions where they will do some good.  If you think the way to affect change is to rant on a forum and insult the mayor and other city employees, you are mistaken.  If you want your opinion heard, I suggest you do what I do.  make an appointment with the mayor and have a discussion with him.  He may not agree with you or change his mind, but he certainly won't insult you.
