I know of a couple people who have been diagnoised with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Anyone have personal experience with this? I hear it is associated with stress? Anybody have any tips for my friends? Thanks
My sister has had problems since her surgery a few years back, it is called dumping (I think), anyway, she has narrowed it down to what food items cause her more problems, have your friend make a food diary, then maybe she can narrow it down like my sister, also carry Pepto with you at all times.
You never know when a moment and a few sincere words can have an impact on a life.
Well, that is funny you say that about "dumping", one doctor says that and one says IBS. They must be pretty comparable. The only thing is...she doesn't HAVE to eat to get "sick". I talked to her Sun and she was sick straight out of bed, first thing in the morning. When I say "sick", I mean terrible cramping, constipation followed by severe diarrhea, breaks out in a sweat and I don't know what else. It is affecting life for her.
I will ask my sister tonight, she is at work today, I will let you know what she says, maybe she will have some suggestions for your friend, I know my sister has had some rough times.

Yes, I am surprised more people aren't talking about this. Since I have started looking into it I have heard a lot of people who know about it and know someone affected by it. I understand it is very painful. I guess because the doctor's say it doesn't cause any long term problems they aren't that concerned about it. Ask you sister if there is medicine for this, please. I guess if there was they would have gave it to her.
Lotronex has been reapproved with significant restrictions by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for women with severe IBS who have not responded to conventional therapy and whose primary symptom is diarrhea.

thanks, I am also wondering if it is because she has no gall bladder. It's kind of like a grease trap, I thought.

Either he thinks he's freakin' God or he thinks I am. Either way, I'm about to get a cheap, perverse thrill out of crushing his entire belief system.

NOT HAVING A GALL BLADDER DOESN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT,
It does with my sister.
