From what I hear, it's almost an epidemic. Sinus, soar throat, and some respiratory to boot it seems to be like in-laws, it never goes away! So far sleep is the only thing that hits the pitching. Has anyone had any luck with OTC products? The other PINK meat! |

I got it, had it for about 3 weeks. OTC hasn't worked. I have no plans to seek RX. I will continue my plan of prayer, green/white tea and naps. (even if I don't get better, the naps are a good thing!)

I don't know what's going on, but this year, I've heard of more people coming down with pneumonia than ever before. I wonder if there's some contagious bug going around that starts out like what you guys are describing and then turns into it.

I drink one cup of green tea, flavored with a teaspoon of honey (natural antibiotic) and eat 1 apple a day and it keeps me very healthy.
I suffer from seasonal allergies and sinus problems(ex smoker) but as long as I enjoy this daily combination, I never have any problems and if I do haapen to come down with something like a cold, I use the Zycam nose swabs (12..99) at CVS drug store.
The swabs lesson your symptoms and the duration of your cold. I SWEAR BY THEM. I usually get better in 2 days.

Mmmmm, green/white tea with honey....mmmmmm

I use Zicam. It feels weird to stick the swab up your nose, but it does the trip for me.
I've had the sniffles for days. It's kind of annoying. But AJ (5) has had the croupiest sounding cough for 2 days now. UGH

Well I've got this stupid thing, I go on coughing jags that last for 30 minutes or so. I just can't get out what is irritating my lungs. grrrr.
I have had it for about 3 weeks now. I ended up getting some Mucinex and it worked for me. Sleep was the best thing though...and I did a lot of it.
My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I'm right.
I saw this report on TV a few days ago saying that Honey works better than cough medicine. I tried it, tastes better, it does work, but not for too long. Of course, taking a teaspoon every hour or so won't hurt anyone.
Also, and this is strange, I haven't tried it, but, I read somewhere on the internet (trustworthy?) that if you put Vick's on the bottom of your feet it works better than on your chest.
I don't know, I am just repeating what I heard.
