My Uncle has a 20 acre farm.. when he has to travel I am asked to perform the Farm tasks needed daily to help keep everything Fed, Watered, Healthy & running smooth.

He had to travel this last week and I was to go Daily to perform farm work and care for the animals, He said there was a chance that the sheep would maybe start to lamb.
Well the first thing was one of the coldest nights of the year, there I was taking care of a couple sheep ready to lamb..

Here is one we took at 2 days old. he is in a Galvanized tub, but, now has hay instead of a blanket..

Same 2 day old photo, since the photo, he has received a bath to clean his coat.. No Momma lamb to lick him clean so.. Baby Shampoo does the same job for us, he's looking more White also, fluffier now..
He is a Cute little guy.. Since he was born during the bad snowy weather.. Momma_Mahem named him "SNOWBALL"... I wanted to call him Spike, and get him a spike collar but, was over trumped by 4 Females of the house.. So.. "Snowball" it is..

Thank you Richard & krolchiha,
Guess I better just stick to the Bird, Garden, & Farm type threads.. when any attempts to try my hand at anything else on here... I think I fail in those category's....LMAO..
Ok... So last Night I go to the farm and what the heck as I'm feeding/haying the manger for the animals.. One of the lamas come from the end of the barn running at me.. Never has this happened before...
She raised to her back feet kicking at me with her front legs.. I moved as fast as I could on out of the stall areas and continued to hay the manger... Upon return she again lashed at me and this time raised over 8 foot in height with more boxer type kicks from her front legs... She returned to the end stall area...
I decided to investigate her attitude more, exited the stall area walked down the main way of the barn to the end where she had returned... Now I know why, she was in labor had a baby lamas head & one leg showing... Now that explains her defense, mainly from a Mother in pain, and In labor protecting her unborn..
Sadly the baby lama was still born after all this time to wait for the pregnancy to come about....I had never experienced that type of behavior from her and will take better note with the next time she is ready to birth..
Also to bring a bigger hankie, more like a small hand towel... Lamas can produce a very large amount of spit when they are angry at you..

So how is the little one you are bottle feeding doing? I could make a pet out of him for maybe a couple or three weeks depending on how fast they grow.
He is doing Fantastic Thank you for asking... He is growing fast, he is one week old today.. I don't think you would want to do the pet thing Colts fan..
It is quite a chore to keep up with the feedings every 2-3 hours 24 hours a day.. And they don't shut up till the bottles in their mouth and they have a full belly..plus keeping up with the daily cleanings of the hay, and bathing him every few days just to keep on the cleanliness side of things..
Those are my chores.. The 4 ladies job is to laugh at his antics when we let him out to exercise for an hour a day..
