I was driving down the road yesterday, listening to the radio, when a good old Credence Clearwater Revival song came on and really lifted my spirits. Kinda got me to thinking about things that just make my life better, make the world a better place. Just off the top of my head, I immediately came up with John C. Fogerty, the Allman Brothers, and the Beach Boys, under the heading of music; Jonathan Winters, arguably the funniest man who ever lived, under the heading of entertainers; and "The Simpsons" and "Married With Children", two genuinely hilarious TV comedies. I've had a head start, so my list is probably two feet long by now, but I'd sure like to hear some of your candidates for a National Treasures award. Then I suppose we'll have to start a National Disgraces list-- politicians will need to be eliminated; otherwise there'll be no room for other slimy slugs: Rush, Al Sharpton, Jon & Kate....

Gotta love all those references. Let's add Dave Thomas of Wendy's under the good guy catagory. Jackie Gleason in the entertainer catagory. (might be too old for you CG)

I agree with Foodie.  Cybergeezer is not as old as his name depicts.  I am turning 49 in a couple weeks.  CG  am I older that you or the same?  All the songs you mentioned I do believe I was alive when they first came out.

How about some Deep Purple  I also used to liston to a song called The Pusher  It was the entire side of an Album   OK you youngters out there back in the day we had these things called turn tables and we played records.  These turntable thing I speak of had 3 speeds  33rpm, 45rpm (for little records) and 75 rpm (75 was for the records that your Grandma used to like to listion to)

I clicked that spelling button thing on this page and it did not work.  I will have to rely on CC again.

Also my kids got me one of the Cell phone things.  It does email, picture taking and I do not know what else.  I tried to call a telephone number with it and it started talking to me and asking me questions.  I think I am gonna put it back on the charger and just look at it.

BTW, I ask them how much it cost them and they said I do not know it will be on the next bill you get that you will pay.

My daughters sure do Love me.   I feel so special.

Best adventures:  I grew up at 1st and Madison so I would say White River and Derby Downs and the Train Tressel.   Living only 1 block away I would go there almost daily.  Year round.
