What IS postive about Anderson?

I am so over hearing everything we don't like about Anderson...everything we think is done WRONG (myself included, I have those days). Please, I want to hear what is POSTIVE in Anderson, Indiana. I will start..... I think the best thing I have heard about Anderson in a long time was the fire house being built. It brought together many people working for the greater good, and has housed several people who were displaced by fires...THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR SOMETHING POSITIVE

Foodies church, they do a food drive a couple times a month. (please correct me if I am wrong on that)
Upward basketball for the kids, that is really a great experience for kids, especially those that do not attend church on a normal basis, they have a Bible verse each week to learn, and they pray! Then play basketball for a bit, great job!
There are GOOD people here in Anderson -- enough of them to outweigh the effects of the rotten apples in the barrel. Some of the nicest ones are on this forum!

In Anderson we have a great staff who does the Humane Society. Rhonda is a very postive part of Anderson...Thanks to all of you
I think it is about finding a way to do something positive in our society, I love the fact that we just might be making a difference in a childs life each Sunday, we are given only a short time with them, but take advantage of that time to teach them values and morals (parents should be teaching these at home).
The YMCA in Anderson has some great programs...and some fantastic staff.

Believe it or not, there are so many positive things happening within the walls of the school buildings in town that it would blow your mind!
PresidentJust a parent who happens to be a member of ACSC Board of Trustees. At all times I speak only for myself as an individual. I cannot, nor will I attempt to, speak for any other member of the board or administration. No member of the ACSC Board of Trustees has any authority as an individual, the authority rests in the Board as a whole only. Sometimes I forget myself and speak as a parent only, a parent who loves and protects and is very bias toward my children.How about some of the coaches we have around here, doesn't matter what sport, there are some really (and bad) coaches, you know the ones that teach sportsmanship first and foremost, then how to play the game!
Northside is having two sessions to tutor the kids for the upcoming ISTEP. That should be great.
Your right j4f. I would also like to say my daughter's speech (pathology teacher) teacher at E2 is awesome!! She is always so positive and uplifting. It's great to see her smiling face!! She instantly makes you want to smile...Thanks Mrs. Harold
I think it is great we can all come together for a good cause, like the charity last year. We may not all get along all the time, but we can come together for the cause.
Maybe we should all try to think of something positive in our community everyday?
