The Winter Weather, Stayin' in From the Cold Menu for the Troops
|
Okay, so we could be facing some ginormous flake accumulations. As well as ice. We all will be making the mad dash to the grocery store to make sure that we have all the things in the cabinets that we need to get us through days or weeks of not being able to reach our front stoops. What do you usually grab in mass quantities -- you know, when the bag boy starts to glare at you at the check out line and make comments like "I hate weather men," -- so you ensure that you and your family don't starve. What kind of meals do you plan out in advance? Crock pot meals? Cold sandwich meals? What is that ONE THING you never, ever fail to pick up (besides batteries. Yeah I get it. But I don't even own a flashlight.) And yeah, please go ahead and give some suggestions. I've gotta stock it up and my kids hate chili, they hate bean soup, I'm trying to figure out what I can make that we can eat, heat, and reheat for a couple of days.

How do you make them? I have chicken, I have egg noodles, I have chicken broth, I have a couple "Cream of" soups, but I think just celery and broccoli...
