Bingo.  "Apathy, your name is Anderson."  We have a councilman getting off on weapons charges when the act was caught on video ostensibly because the prosecutor didn't have all the charges against him filed at the same time.  We've got prosecutors getting their kids and employees out of DUI's in other counties!  We've got commissioners beating up on their kids and getting special prosecutors (oh, yes, we're famous for our special prosecutors and grand juries to blur the facts which are selectively published in our local fish wrapper) to determine if charges are warranted when the witnesses have spelled out the facts to the responding officers.  Why interview witnesses if the prosecutor is going to toss their testimony?  Can you say, "Dog and pony show", boys and girls? 

Who says, "Enough, already!"?  A few lone voices that are drowned out by the majority saying, "What else did you expect, this is Anderson, aka, Little Chicago?"  Remember that when you see all the 'Oooh, Oooh, Reelect me!' signs that'll pop up a few months before the next election.  We had a guy get more punishment for defacing a mayoral candidate's sign than a certain councilman will get for carrying a loaded .45 into the slammer while drunk!  There's justice you can bank..., I mean count on!  I can add up the number of incumbent elected officials in Madison county I'd vote for on one finger but I have to keep that finger reserved for the ones that have let us down in more ways than we can count.  We are getting what we deserve with our refusal to demand better.
