To pimp its sugary, 200-calorie iced coffees, fast food giant McDonald's offered to pay some local TV newscasts for product placement.Just goes to show... It's all about the mighty dollar. Anderson Free Airwaves next? ;)

On a semi-related note. I was talking to someone the other day and told them I wanted to see a normal joe behind the camera covering the news. Most television seems so contrived these days - so slick and corporate. There has to be a place between there and truly thrown together amateur stuff.
You can get their iced-coffee without the sugar. I'm addicted to that stuff like crack!

kp ~ This is one of the reason I like NPR. The do series where the reporter just mixes right in and does reporting from inside. Of course, it is radio. Sometimes the camera is a hindrance to truth.
