I will bet you anything that no extra profit will be seen by the carriers or anyone else but the very upper management.
Maybe they raised the price so they could pay their carriers more money to deliver it?

CNHI's goal with these smaller papers in smaller communities was to report local news that can't be gotten anywhere else. I'm surprised to hear that you see so much stuff off the AP wire because, as I understood it, that isn't their mission.
