I'm happy to announce that you will soon be able to critique my work in this very forum. After five years as a corporate spin doctor, I've been hired for a new radio venture here in Indiana. Gone are the days of five weeks of vacation every year and generous health benefits. I'll be returning to my roots of getting to work at 3 in the morning and eating bologna sandwiches and hoping I don't get sick. But, I couldn't be more excited to tell you the truth. More details as they become available. |

good for you.....what station...so I can listen.....

Congrats on the new job, I know the job market is rough right now, so I am so excited that you found a job that you are actually happy about taking! Good luck! Keep us posted on where we can listen to you at.

anything I or AFP can do to help you and the new radio venture, lemme know. :)
Don't talk about radio. It makes me miss it (the job, not the money!) too much!
Giggity
Once the station website is streaming, I'll post that info. It's not in Central Indiana, so you probably won't be able to pick it up over the air.
It will be affiliated with NPR and they've already hired some familiar names from Indianapolis and Chicago area radio to be involved.
Hey congratulations C91!
Hopefully you have as much fun working at a radio station as they portrayed the cast of characters having on the hit television program WKRP in Cincinnati.
Oh wait a minute, I should probably thank you for bringing back all of the wonderful memories of Loni Anderson's bodacious sweater puppies.
Having worked in radio before, I can say that WKRP is a pretty accurate representation of some of the stations I've been involved with. There's a Herb Tarlek in every sales office.
