Republican voting official attacks reporter

MUNCIE -- A Republican voter registration deputy jailed Wednesday for attacking a newspaper reporter and hitting the Democratic 6th District congressional candidate could be back to work as early as today.
Will D. Statom, 56, was preliminarily charged with battery, a misdemeanor, after he attacked Star Press reporter Nick Werner following a contentious Delaware County Election Board meeting.

Nick Warner must be a pretty tough character, I know for a fact he was verbally attacked a couple years ago for writing a story about a local "hero", he actually got threatened to be sued for publishing the article by three of the people involved, those people are crazy!!!! I like Nick, he seems to be very thorough in his articles.
