I know that he has made the National Guard his part time career after 20+ years. I guess this was one of those, he wont go due to his age things. (It wont happen to me syndrome) Well, I was again wrong. He is proud to serve and takes it seriously, which yes, I am glad. Its not only his life but others that is depending on him being serious. This is his first deployment, which I can be thankful for that, some has been many of times. What I guess I am getting at, I am thankful of not only him but all the other soldiers that are willing to put their life on the line for our freedom. I have always kept these soldiers in my mind for peace, I guess now it will probably be a bit stronger. I am not the strongest emotional person, so some things just make me crazy. I am attempting to attach a picture.

Today was the day that I have been dreading. I went to see the deployment ceremony of Company C, 1st Battalion, 137th Aviation Brigade out of Shelbyville, Indiana. This is my brothers Company. He was one of the approximately 75 soldiers that are going to Iraq.

All troops are in my prayers every night if they are state side or overseas, so you brother is included in that prayer.

Do you think there would be any way he could provide AFP with a daily or weekly blog entry ? It would be interesting to get his insight . (don't want him getting in trouble though ) Also would need kpaul's blessing .

I think that we should add him to the daily prayer requests, I am sure that he will return home safely, your family is in my thoughts and prayers. We have a dear family friend that is over there right now, I even have my little ones in my class at church pray for his safe return, I will gladly add your brother!

Just4fun, thanks, I do realize he isnt the only one over there, and a lot of prayers are going out, but I would appreciate it.
I will keep everyone up to date as I can. As I said I will try FRG and see what is what.
