A US Airways plane has gone down in the Hudson river in New York.  There was 146 passengers and 5 crew on board.  Good news is all 151 have been rescued.

Yea I am watching news reel footage of the survivors coming ashore right now.

You know it had to probably be the single most frightning experience any of those folks are likely to have ever experienced.

I am just glad everyone survived the accident, that in itself is a miracle.

They don't have enough money to get me on a plane again and I used to love to fly.  I will take my chances on walking in front of a truck over a plane.  Just call me chicken.

I wonder if anyone managed to remember their seat pillows were supposed to be used for flotation devices. It always struck me as silly - if you're going down, how much time are you going to have to wrangle a seat apart and use it to float out the door of the aircraft?  Guess this is an example. Then again, since the aircraft went down within 3 minutes of takeoff, did they even get the flight attendants' drill?

Flying wouldnt' be that bad if they didnt' have to go up in the air to do it.
