the hardest part of doing nothing, is knowing when your done.
Lots of people figured he'd come to a bad end. In this case, the doc could have refused the job when it became evident that Jackson's insomnia was leading him in this direction. That he didn't walk away makes me question his judgment. Other people DID quit working for Jackson when he asked them for drugs.
